Eligibility Requirements

Venmo Borrow is currently an invite-only feature. Eligibility is determined automatically by Venmo's algorithms based on several factors including your direct deposit history, overall account activity, credit profile (soft inquiry), and state of residence. If you qualify, the "Borrow" option will appear in your Venmo app menu.

Cash Advance Apps That Work with Venmo

If you don't currently qualify for Venmo Borrow, several third-party cash advance apps can transfer funds to your Venmo-linked debit card. These include Dave (up to $500 via ExtraCash), MoneyLion Instacash ($25–$1,000), Klover (up to $750), and Current. Note that these are separate services with their own terms and fees.
