Supported Cryptocurrencies
Venmo supports five cryptocurrencies for buying, selling, and holding directly in the app. Since May 19, 2026, crypto services are provided by PayPal Digital, Inc. (doing business as Venmo Digital).

How It Works
To buy crypto on Venmo, simply open the app, tap the crypto section, select the coin you want to purchase, and enter the amount. You can fund purchases with your Venmo balance, linked debit card, or bank account. The minimum purchase is just $1, making crypto accessible to everyone regardless of budget.
Cash Back to Crypto
If you hold the Venmo Credit Card, you can enable the "purchase crypto" feature to automatically convert your cash back rewards into cryptocurrency. This provides a hands-off way to accumulate crypto over time without making separate purchases.
